Alpine Trekking
Alpine trekking or Alpinismis called so because it is styled on the “Do it yourself” format. This style helps you to achieve a degree of self-sufficiency where you get to do lot of jobs yourself that is usually carries out by the support team (cooks, porters, helpers, etc.). This sort of trekking is primarily devoid of all the facilities that you could get during the course of a trek or an expedition. Alpinism is the real test for trekkers because they are on their own in the unknown. The uncertain weather, unknown terrain and unfavorable conditions could really add to the misery. But then, this is how the adventure seekers are shaped up. To take on the challenges head on, to become self-efficient and sufficient to deal with all the situations. At the same time, they have to address all the issues of their survival and settlement on their own.
Acclimatization, with unfavorable conditions, is one of the biggest challenges associated with Alpine trekking. On top of that you are even without the essentials to counter such terrain. ALPINE Trekking is the term associated with such type of trekking and it is very raw in nature. The activities undertaken are purely based on high levels of fitness, prior experience of the wilderness and competence to survive on natural resources available at times. The duration of such activity is primarily restricted to a few days.
ALPINE TREKS BY WANDERIN' MAN
At Wanderin’ Man adventures, we take pride in the fact that our team of experts with their vast and extensive experience have the competence to organize such treks. The experts have been associated in the past with such trek experience and have imparted training on an individual basis to the climbers who have opted for alpinism. The Wanderin’ Man adventures,in its letter and spirit, promotes such experience on a niche basis so that the climbers are able to gain an experience of different scale apart from the regular treks and expeditions that are usually undertaken. This exercise is promoted as “on demand”, as the frequency of opting it is limited apart from the experience and expertise that is required to tackle it.
As has been stated earlier,Alpinism is primarily a self-help activity, therefore the company promotes it in its original crude form. However, we will also be organizing Semi-Alpine style, where the format of the trek remains originally raw in practice with minor help from the company in the form of the following: -
A trek leader for safety purpose.
A guide to help with meal preparations
Mule/Porter for holding on to ration or other essentials
Personal equipment must be carried by all participants and common equipment will be provided by the company for sharing.
The number of participants in a single group would be at maximum at 4 participants. The participants are supposed to complete all the formalities before the trek. The participants are required to furnish all details subjective to their health and other necessities. The participants are required to strictly adhere to the instructions of the trek leader for their own safety. The facilities provided by the company will cover the bare minimum to maintain the experience of Alpinism.
How does Wanderin’ Man
Alpine work?
Before the start of the trek, the participants will meet up with our team, which will include the Trek Captain, to discuss the upcoming trek and to chalk out the strategy to tackle it in Alpine style.
